Nutrition for Brain Health As We Age
More and more people are becoming interested in adopting a healthier lifestyle. But nutrition information is often contradictory and confusing. This seminar will highlight evidence-based diets that are associated with preserving and promoting brain health in older adults. In this workshop you will learn and understand how aging affect brain health, be familiar with the MIND diet and how it can help prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease and obtain practical tips on how implemtn dietary changes to support the healthy aging of the brain.

Maria Ricupero, MHSc, RD, CDE a Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Educator with a nutrition consulting practice in Toronto. Maria specializes in the prevention and management of cardiovascular health and diabetes using a weight-neutral approach. With over 20 years of experience, Maria has helped many clients reach their health goals and improve their quality of life. As a nutrition communicator and promoter of health and wellness, Maria is described as an enthusiastic and engaging speaker. She is a pro at translating complex nutrition science information in a way that is easily accessible to her audience. Maria holds a Master of Health Science (MHSc) degree in Nutrition Communication, has taught at two universities and is published in peer reviewed medical journals.
