Sites of Ukraine included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Part 1

Ukraine boasts several UNESCO World Heritage sites. Some of the most notable include the ancient city of Tauric Chersonese and its chora, the historic center of Lviv, and the Kyiv: Saint-Sophia Cathedral and Related Monastic Buildings, Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The Struve Geodetic Arc, with points in Ukraine, is also a significant site. Additionally, the Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans and the Wooden Tserkvas of the Carpathian Region are also part of the UNESCO list.
Inclusion of a site on the UNESCO World Heritage List is important because it guarantees international attention and protection, as well as promotes tourism and economic growth for the region where the site is located.
